Hedi Slimane

Hedi Slimane is mostly known for his groundbreaking work at Dior Homme. In fact, when he left the house in 2006, most thought the brand would never recover. The reason for his departure was that he wanted to pursue a more artistic approach to release his creativity, and although it was a big loss for the design world, what a gain it was for the discipline of photography. I count him among my top 3, he's just so amazing. In each one of his images you can feel the raw emotion that penetrates the lense. His shots generally don't consist of more than one or two people and remain focused solely on the subject with no distractions in the background. He's also a big advocate for black and white photography, as most of his work is devoid of color. Whether he's shooting people, inanimate objects or animals, there is a sense of deep intimacy that flawlessly comes through. All in all, he seems to effortlessly convey all kinds of sensations through his powerful images and i wanted to share some of my favorites.
